Through the Terrains with Jesus | 022

We sat in that room waiting to hear results. They then asked us to head into a conference room to discuss options and further details of what is going on in the body.

My husband and and I both looking at each other unsure of what we would be told… yet here we were already heading into the conference room and me speaking underneath my breath, “Jesus come.”

He then came in the room, grabbed his dry erase markers and began drawing out statistics along with a chart. “This is what we are looking at and where you stand.”

I didn’t like hearing all what we had to hear in the room but that is what we made the long 6 to 7 hour drive for, was to us see what the next steps would be as the specialist in our hometown was concerned what was happening within my body. We prayed and I believed God would intervene. But I also trusted God with what He was doing in my life, even if I didn’t like what was going on.

I wonder how many of us do this? Do we trust Him with what He is doing in our life or do we tell Him, “no this is how I want my life to be…”

Do we really fully trust that everything God does is for our good and his glory?

Do we really trust God in our trials and circumstances?

As we sat there hearing all what was explained and mentioned, all what was to be next…. and it be left up to us on what we choose… he thought it would be best to wait four more days to be seen to ensure nothing has changed and all things are stable. So we chose to stay and in that time.. walking into the hotel room I heard the Lord say “reverse.”

Reverse? Lord what are you saying? What does this mean?” I began to look out the window, rain falling softly and beautifully, cloud covers all around, and greenery trees and grass surrounding us. He then said “Pray for this to be reversed.”

So I did. I prayed, battled, prayed some more in scripture, spoke Gods promise back to Him… I even asked Him to remember what He spoke to me. We tend to think we are bossing God in this, but this isn’t true. He wants us to remind Him of what He spoke to us. He wants us to remind Him, not that he forgot because he doesn’t forget, but he wants his children to come to Him and tell him again, like our little children who remind us “but you said mommy…. daddy….”

God is a Father who loves his children. He wants us to be more like Jesus, and the way to become more like Jesus is by stripping off what needs to be stripped off and walking through terrains to become more like Him.

If it weren’t for terrains, we wouldn’t rely on Jesus as our Shepherd and Savior. We wouldn’t come to Him for guidance, strength and comfort in the times we need it. We would be seeking it in our ownself or in others. But because God loves us that much, so much, he takes us through terrains to grasp our attention to fix our eyes on Him, as he teaches us more and more things in each terrain we walk in.

What terrain are you currently in? What do you see Him teaching you in this terrain?
