Through the Terrains with Jesus | 014
“Place your armor on, pray Psalm 91, and know that I who sent you, am with you.”
The very comforting words I heard from my Heavenly Father right before we decided in the last minute to take that trip. “I think we should go.” My husband tells me. And that I knew because I already heard from the Lord before He said anything.
That night before leaving, I found myself praying over us all all night long. I tossed. I turned. I was sweating. I was sleepless. I prayed fervently all night long in the shadow of the night and allowed the Lord to lead me in it.
Turned out I wasn’t the only one having a sleepless night.
It wasn’t that God didn’t want to give me a restful, peaceful, sleep. Rather, it was Him armoring me up before we took off the next morning and left.
I once was told when we have sleepless nights its because the enemy is around trying to disturb the peaceful sleep. Although it is true, I also have come to see that God wakes us up in the nights to draw near to Him. We need this discernment friend to be able to distinguish who it is waking us up through the night. Then, we will be able to know what we are fighting up against or if we are surrendering to the Lord.
We packed the rest of our things that morning and the whole time packing, I was praying over all of us, my family, and siblings as they rode along, for the Lords safety, His armor, and protection against whatever we are coming up against.
In my Spirit, something felt off. Something didn’t feel right. I couldn’t tell what it was, instead I just trusted the Lord as he continued to lead me through where He was taking me.
Sometimes we don’t always see where we are headed. Sometimes we don’t always understand why He leads us. And sometimes we get to see a glimpse. But even if we don’t get to see it or understand it, we must choose to trust in Him through the walk.
We can easily say no. I could have easily have said no. But my heart’s desire is to say “Yes Lord, I Am Here. Use Me. Send Me As You Will.”
That has been my heart from the get go, to go and do as He says. Of course I wasn’t always like this, it took a few missed opportunities. But in His grace, He still led me in this walk with Jesus.
I was shown something I never had witnessed, felt, seen in the spiritual realm before in this terrain. It was a…. training moment for what was to come.
Friend, each terrain we walk in with Jesus either trains us, heals us, equips us, has us slow down… the Lord shows us something new on that road.
Each road we take with Jesus, we are bound to be taught in something, as we grow more into the Lord. Question is, are we willing to be the woman of God who says “Yes Lord, here I am. Use me.”?
